Birmingham City University is organising an event on 3rd September 2008 to disseminate the findings of its HEFCE-funded project – Service by Design – which is coming to an end in September. This was one of the 5 successful bids to HEFCE’s call in 2006 to those HEIs for whom ‘3rd stream is 2nd mission’. However, with the increasing focus on employer engagement in the HE sector, all staff engaged in 3rd stream/employer engagement/applied research may find this useful.
