Incubation: Creating Value for Universities Part 2

Date: 8th May

Location: London South Bank University,  K806 Keyworth Centre

KnowledgeLondon brings you Incubation: Creating Value for Universities Part 2. We had received a great amount of feedback on the previous event in November 2016. We heard from incubation managers and their colleagues about how they achieved implementing incubation at their institutions. We took a look at some of the nuts and bolts of running an incubation system and considered how different types of incubators might be linked to the stage of development and type of development and type of university host.

The event was a great success and many expressed an interest to have a follow up event discussing different topics including;

  • Cross Section Incubators
  • Legal Aspects and Challenges of Running Incubators
  • Virtual Incubators
  • Finance Strategies
  • Case Studies
  • Hackspaces

This follow up event will involve institutions and incubation managers sharing their experiences, challenges and thoughts about incubators in relation to the topics above. The presentations will be followed by an in depth discussion of takeaways in a workshop setting.
